It’s probably a question most of us have asked ourselves more than once! It’s important to remember babies are all different so don’t compare how much your baby is eating to someone else’s... the time it takes for babies to become established / take to solids can also vary greatly.
Our advice? Have a plan - understand the indicators your baby is ready to have a second and third meal, and finally snacks in between. Know when milk should be offered before meals and how to transition to after solids.
Variety is also very important - offer your baby a good range of foods from the different food groups so you can be confident they are getting a good range of nutrients from the food they are eating.
If you are concerned about how much your baby is eating do seek advice from your medical professional.
