Our Favourite Recipes

Once you’re over the beginning phase of introducing solids to your little one, you quickly become aware of the need to continually offer them new and different flavours and textures... but coming up with new, healthy, easy recipes your baby or toddler will actually enjoy can be challenging. Below is a sneak peak of some of our favourite recipes which you can find in our recipe collections. Tried and tested on the harshest critics... our own little ones! 

Pumpkin, Oat & Cinnamon Biscuits

If introducing finger foods to your wee one makes you a little bit anxious, these could be a great place to start. Lovely and soft in texture, they are easy for wee ones still learning to bite and chew. We’ve shaped these biscuits in to circles, but you could do any shape including wee logs to make them easy for little hands to hold. They’re also SO easy to make combining just a few ingredients, they can be whipped up in no time!

Baked Zucchini Fritters

These wee fritters are a great breakfast (or lunch or snack!) finger food option. They are so quick and easy to whip up; simply combine the ingredients together and then place the fritters in to the oven to cook - no standing over the stove! They are also a great way of getting a few extra veges in to your wee one/s...

Banana Bread

This allergy-friendly version of a timeless classic won’t disappoint. Refined sugar free, the ripe bananas provide a lovely natural sweetness to this loaf. Cut into fingers for your younger baby or toddler, or hearty slices for an older child (or parent!), this recipe is sure to become a family favourite - a great morning or afternoon tea crowd-pleaser and perfect for popping into lunchboxes for a healthy treat.

Carrot, Courgette & Kumara Rosti

These soft, yummy rosti are an easy finger food option for lunch boxes, afternoon tea or even as part of dinner. You could easily substitute the carrot and courgette for other vegetables you already have in your fridge such as spinach, parsnip, cooked eggplant and more; just be sure to keep the ratio of kumara to other vegetables the same.

Corn & Courgette Fritters

These are great wee eggless fritters that are so quick and easy to whip up. They have a lovely soft texture and make the perfect snack for little hands; or you can turn them into a great family brunch or meal option - serve with some smashed avocado mixed with a squeeze of lemon. Yum!

Potato, Broccoli & Cheese Tots

These ‘tots’ have been one of the favourites amongst our children whilst
testing these recipes. They’re soft, very tasty and so easy to make. Perfect as a lunch box finger food or with dinner. The broccoli could be substituted for peas or well cooked beans; just be sure to blitz to a smooth(ish) texture and keep the ratio to potato the same as in the recipe below. Yum!
